Former Gioventù Italiana del Littorio Building

Former Gioventù Italiana del Littorio Building

Of rationalist style, the structure built between 1933 and 1935 bears the prestigious signature of the architect Cesare Valle. Intended for the sports and cultural education of the new generations of the Littorio, at the time of its inauguration the building was characterized by two main departments, with separate entrances: the sports and the cultural department. The sports section includes a gym, an indoor swimming pool and locker rooms; these spaces interact with a large sports field equipped for the practice of any sport. The cultural part includes a movie theater with 700 seats, a large conference room with adjoining reading room. The building is completed by a high tower of 30 meters dedicated to the memory of Arnaldo Mussolini, brother of the Duce.
